New Year, New Me

Developing healthy habits is crucial for overall well-being. Here are 10 healthy habits that can positively impact your physical and mental health that we should take with us into 2024!

1. Regular Exercise

   - Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week, along with muscle-strengthening activities on two or more days.

2. Balanced Diet:

   - Consume a variety of nutrient-dense foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Be mindful of portion sizes.

3. Adequate Hydration:

   - Drink plenty of water throughout the day. The general recommendation is around 8 glasses (64 ounces) daily, but individual needs may vary.

4. Sufficient Sleep:

   - Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Establish a consistent sleep routine to improve the quality of your sleep.

5. Stress Management:

   - Practice stress-reducing activities such as mindfulness, meditation, deep breathing exercises, or yoga to maintain mental well-being.

6. Regular Health Check-Ups:

   - Schedule regular check-ups with your healthcare provider for preventive screenings and to address any health concerns promptly.

7. Limit Screen Time:

   - Reduce the time spent on electronic devices, especially before bedtime. This can improve sleep quality and reduce eye strain.

8. Social Connections:

   - Cultivate and maintain healthy relationships. Social connections contribute to emotional well-being and can provide a support system during challenging times.

9. Mindful Eating:

   - Pay attention to what you eat, savor each bite, and eat without distractions. This can help prevent overeating and promote better digestion.

10. Continuous Learning:

    - Engage in activities that stimulate your mind, such as reading, learning a new skill, or pursuing a hobby. Continuous learning is essential for cognitive health.

Remember that forming habits takes time, so start gradually and make adjustments as needed. It's also important to focus on progress rather than perfection. Adopting these habits can lead to a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.

A Note From the Owner

We hope to start our Farmers Friendly Review process by the end of the 1st quarter again.  With all the industry changes, our agency has focused on client retention and service.  Without our clients, we do not have an insurance agency to run.  We appreciate each and everyone of our clients, friends, family and influencers and will continue to enhance and grow each one of these relationships in 2024.  As always, feel free to contact us with any insurance related questions or concerns.  We will have a better gauge on rate relief by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2024.  Thanks again for your kindness, support, loyalty and understanding as we navigate the instability of the California Insurance Marketplace.

With Gratitude, Glenn and Amanda Domingo, your Insurance Agency for LIFE
