The Changes of Colors, Another Year in Brooklyn

Education on the East Coast

So our sales representative and marketing specialist on the East Coast has another year of continuing education and teaching to complete for the New York City Education Department.  Jenifer and I planned on this trip several months ago to assist with getting her new placed dialed in.  It was such a productive and joyful trip.  Having a car avaialbe in New York is a game changer.  A big shout out to our partners at Enterprise Rental Cars for providing us with our Corporate Discount.  Alexandra moved into her new apartment in BedStuy Brooklyn and we all are so excited for her new living environment.  Her work ethic is off the charts as she continues to teach special education and connect wtih her students.

How I miss the days sitting next to her chatting about marketing, life and business insurance.  We still chat about the business, but having your daughter sitting next to you a desk over is priceless.  We travled a couple hours away to visit the Hudson Bridge, the Oldest Vineyard in America, Benmarl Vineyard and even got to vist the Sleepy Hallow Cemertary searching for the headless horseman.  Can't wait to see what the future holds for this young Rock Star of an educator and business woman.

Coffee Review -

Changed it up this month as the weather starts to cool off (kinda) and share one of my favorite places to stop and enjoy some coffee. It is very rare that I don't just drink my black coffee from home, but when I feel like a stroll on the beach with a yummy (sweeter) morning cup o joe I never regret stopping at Revolution Roasters. Locally located off the 101 in Oceanside just past Vista Way, it is hard to miss. With people always outside and furry friends allowed it never disappoints. I love the oatmilk latte!

Workout of the Month -

The holidays are just around the corner! Can you believe all those New Years Resolution goals you set now are only a few short days away from 2022. Here is a quick and effective workout to do. Aim to get moving at least three times per week until the new year to make your transition to your New Year's goals much easier to stay on track with. Grab a mat, workout towel, and your phone for a timer and let's take this fat blasting workout anywhere!

1 min of each exercise
15sec of rest/transition in between
Complete each superset 4 times then move on to the next!

*I highly suggest some kind of warm up. Dynamic stretching, a mile or two walk through the neighborhood, brisk jog, etc.*

Superset A:
- Squat to walkout push up
- Reverse lunge with rotation

Superset B:
- 4 high knees to 4 jumping jacks
- Plank jacks

Superset C:
- 2 squats to jump squat
- Lying glute bridge

Superset D:
- Donkey kick RIGHT
- Donkey kick LEFT

Embrace the burn, rest as needed, and don't forget to hydrate and stretch post workout!

Recipe of the Month -

1/2 C gluten free oats
1 C water

Microwave for 1 minute.

While still warm add:

1 TBSP chia seeds
1 scoop protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)

Mix ingredients with the warm oatmeal. Add almond milk as needed for desired consistency.

This year flew by, without our clients, friends and family of our agency, we would not be in business.  Thank you so much, you are the heart beat and life line of our business.  With the end of 2021 just around the corner, we would love to hear from you.  We need feedback on how to better our insurance practice.  Let us know what to improve on.  Let us know how life is and let us know how we can assist.  If the topic of insurance ever comes up, please pass on The Farmers Insurance Agency of Glenn & Jenifer Domingo, your agency for life.  866-486-FARM.  Peace and Love always.  Have a wonderful Holiday Season.  Stay safe and be well.

Goal Setting, Life Insurance, Time Change

Fall Back

Don't forget to set your clocks back! Officially reached the fall season and cannot believe how fast it has gone. Just like any season, the fall is a great time to hit the reset button. Maybe you've had a crazy busy summer, you're just now getting back into working full time from an office instead of from home, or you are jumping back into the school routine. With back to school supplies coming out, it is a great opportunity to grab a planner and get organized. Use this new season as a way to set yourself up for success before the holiday time. Here are a few tips and tricks my sister and I use as our reset!

- Grab a planner and write in all this months work schedule, meetings, big set dates.
- Include an appointment to do some type of movement 3 times per week.
- Pick gym/work clothes out the night prior and have them laying out to save time in the morning.
- Set up the coffee pot so all you have to do is turn it on.
- Wake up 10 minutes earlier. Use this time so you don't just rush out of bed. Could be time to pray, meditate, clean out old junk emails, etc.
- Keep a running list on your phone of this you run out of or need from the grocery store so you don't find yourself going multiple times a week.
- Schedule in some time for fun. We need to relax and take time to unwind as well. Aim for 2x a month to do something you enjoy. Date nights, facials, massage, take a yoga class, etc.

We hope this helps a bit. Happy fall, y'all!

Workout of the Month

10 x 10 x 10

10 rounds, 10 exercises, 10 reps

1. Full Burpee
2. Mountain Climbers
3. Alt. Reverse Lunges
4. Squat to Jump Squat
5. Push Ups
6. Plank Walk Out
7. Shoulder Taps
8. Traditional Crunch
9. High Plank to Low Plank
10. Quick Lateral Hops

Set your timer and see how long it takes you to complete all 10 exercises at 10 reps for 10 rounds total.
Aim to do this once a week and track your time improvements throughout the month.

Pumpkin Spice Seasonal Favorites

Tis the season for all things pumpkin spice. Of course, there is the fan favorite pumpkin spice latte that everyone can't wait to have when the fall season hits. But, for all you non-latte lovers, here are a couple tasty, nutrient dense, and healthier pumpkin themed favorites for you to try.

Pumpkin Spice Protein Bites

Simple, easy, and no bake time recipe all ages are going to love. A great snack pre or post workout, healthy dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth, or a great protein packed snack to throw into the lunch box.

- 1/4 - 1/2 c Nut butter
- 2 c Oats

- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 - 1 tsp Pumpkin pie spice
- 1-3 tbsp chia seeds
- 8-10 pitted dates
- Chocolate chips of your choice

I typically eyeball and taste test for desired amounts of each ingredient. Combine all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until mushy, thick batter. Scoop out 1 tbsp and roll into balls. Place in Tupperware in freezer or refrigerator and enjoy!

Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

Refreshing, seasonal, and protein packed. Enjoy for breakfast, post workout, or as a mid afternoon pick me up. Super easy, just throw in a blender and enjoy!

- 1/8 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon

Add ice if you would like a colder and thicker consistency. Blend and enjoy sipping on your fall favorite protein shake.

Restaurant Review - Pure Taco

A new restaurant to check out in downtown Carlsbad. Fun, trendy vibe - located right next to the new Lofty Coffee off of State Street. They have indoor and outdoor dining and all the food and drinks look delicious!  The Tacos are a great size with unique fillings.  Make sure to ask for all the salsas to try out.

They have breakfast served as well. Get downtown and order yourself a couple gourmet tacos and a spicy margarita...Yum!

Support Local

Carlsbad Independent Mercedes

Located off of ROOSEVELT in downtown Carlsbad, take your car to Johnny for all your needs. Locally owned and operated we had such a great experience. If you head down and get a quote, tell them Glenn from Farmers sent you!

Carlsbad Strawberry Company

The pumpkin patch is officially open at the Carlsbad Strawberry Fields!
Come pick out your pumpkin, trek through the corn maze, and even enjoy a couple cocktails at a special secret speakeasy. Check the link for all details.

Fun Fact, the owner, Jimmy Ukegawa, was awarded for the Citizen of the Year for the city of Carlsbad for his efforts in feeding the community during the pandemic.  The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated food insecurity within our communities, and Jimmy and his staff knew they needed to help. Since last March, Jimmy, his staff, and partners have donated more than 500,000 pounds of food. In celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Rep. Levin is proud to recognize an outstanding Asian American constituent who makes the region and the country stronger.

A Note from the Agency Owner

Hello friends, family, clients and readers.  September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.  Many of our clients like to review their life insurance during this month and our industry recognizes the importance of reviewing or purchasing this product.  If you have purchased a term life insurance policy in the last 20 years, take time to review your ability to convert the policy into a permanent life insurance plan before the conversion period expires.  No need for a health exam, just have your representative or our agency produce an illustration to see what type of cash build up you can have in the separate account, or see how long the decided premium will last.  Furthermore, the Universal Life Policies written in the 80's and 90's are lapsing because of lack of funding and the projected high interest rates back in those days.  Make certain you understand the cost of your insurance, the rate of return you should expect in todays environment and finally, what funding is needed to keep my policy in force.  All questions are important to our clients and our agency regarding life insurance.  You don't know what you don't know so please reach out with your questions weather or not the policy is issued through Farmers New World Life or not, we are present to assist.

3rd Quarter review of the goals we set in January is on the table for the Domingo Family.  We have been practicing this task since 1996 and it is so fulfilling to see how much our family has accomplished.  Remember to write down your goals, measure them and make certain to check it off the list and add a new goal.  If you don't make or have a target, you will miss 100% of the time.  Wishing and praying that all of you have a great fall season.

August 2021

Summer Here Summer Gone

Birthday Celebrations

August was full of family time and gatherings for birthday celebrations. My grandpa, my sister, and I all share a birthday in August. It was so nice to have Lex home for a week to celebrate and revive after teaching summer school before heading back to Brooklyn to take on another school year. We were fortunate to have some great weather and enjoyed our time in the sun, hanging with the pups, took a day trip to San Clemente, some golfing at El Camino Country Club and had some much needed family time with our grandparents.

For our Pop-Pop's birthday, I got to experience the course for the first time, dad and Pop-Pop got to work on their game, and mom and Lex surprised us with their hidden talent.
We celebrated Mama Fili's big 85th birthday with all her family. It was so nice for her to be able to celebrate with all her brothers and sisters. She was truly so happy that day. A day full of Filipino food and majong, can't get much better than that!

Don't Throw Your Brown Bananas Away!

If you are one of those people who get grossed out by browning bananas... think again. They are sweetest and most ripe when they have some brown spots. Although they might not look the most attractive or apPEELing, they are pretty tasty in your smoothies and banana bread. If you are using in banana bread, keep them as mushy as possible. If you decide to throw them in a smoothie or smoothie bowl, keep them frozen and use as needed for desired thickness and sweetness.

4 Ingredient Flourless Banana Bread

- 2 C Gluten Free Oats
- 4 to 5 ripe bananas
- 1 C nut butter of your choice
- 1 C chocolate chips

Blend together oats, bananas, and nut butter until a thick, smooth consistency occurs. Be careful not to over blend so the bread can rise. Fold in amount of chocolate chips of your choice. Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes in a greased bread pan. Allow to rest, slice, and enjoy!

Post Workout Easy Smoothie

- 1 to 2 C almond milk
- 1 C frozen spinach
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 handfuls frozen strawberries
- 1 TBSP almond butter
- 1 scoop vanilla vegan protein

Blend together all ingredients adding more liquid if needed until you reach the consistency of your liking. Don't worry if the color is a little off...the taste is amazing especially right after a sweaty workout or hot afternoon run!

Workout of the Month - The Benefits of Running

I've committed to a new running regimen for the whole year. On my 24th birthday this month, I decided to challenge myself to run at LEAST 1 mile every day until the day I turn 25.
I only really started running about a year ago and I know how much my cardiovascular health and lean muscle has improved. Now it is hard for me to go a day without running! Some tips I have for first time runners:

Go slow, you don't need to run a marathon, a little bit each day. The rule of thumb is typically a tenth of a mile increase per week.

Start with walking. If you can't jog, set a timer for 30 minutes and briskly walk each day.

HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE. From person experience, I've learned how big of a difference my body feels while and after I run depending on my hydration the day prior.

Focus on recovery and nutrition to set yourself up for the most success.

All you have to do is take the first step.

NYC Tour Guide - Your Must 3 To Do's

Whether it is your very first time to New York City or your 100th, these are MUST DO's for every trip!

1. Try a new pizzeria.

There are so many to try! Look up a few must see or must try pizza shops. Make it apart of your plans depending where you are going to visit throughout the day. Some of the best ones are right next door to some of the most fun bars.

2. Museum, park, gallery or site.

Something historic, meaningful, or a place to learn something new. There are plenty of museums, historical sites, and pop up galleries that change throughout the year. One of my personal favorites is the 9/11 memorial.

3. Dessert, speakeasy, or Juniors Cheesecake.

We've all seen the cool, unheard of places to try while in the city that never sleeps. Find one "insta" famous spot you want to try and see if it is worth the hype. You can never go wrong with Juniors Cheesecake!

A Note from The Agency Owner

Wild Fire Season has started early and our great state of California is experiencing the largest wildfire in its history.  As a California Resident, we must all understand that the spread of the risk from wildfire will effect each household, whether or not you live in wild fire country.  The Farmers Insurance Group has invested in new technology so we may determine, a home with a wildfire designated address, if the risk is available for preferred pricing.  Please call, text or email our agency to find options and resources to insure your home properly.  We have invested time, resources and knowledge to provide markets for the hard to place home insurance in todays California insurance environment.  Make certain to take advantage of any free or cost effective resources brought to you by the State of California or The Farmers Insurance Group.  For a limited time, we are offering many free fire preventative services.

Thank you for taking time to read our family insurance blog.  Without our friends, family and clients, we would not have an agency to open each and everyday in assisting protecting the assets and lives of our policy holders.  Peace and Love Always, your bloggers from the West Coast.

Happy 4th of July Happy 85th Mama Fili

Birthday dinner for Mama Fili

Visit from the East Coast

Last month, Lex and Addison met our parents in Nashville. This month, they came home for a quick visit to California. Eating all their favorite foods, enjoying some sunshine (without humidity), and celebrating Mama Fili's birthday on the 4th of July. It's always nice to have everyone under one house once again. Trips are becoming few and far between so we make sure to get in lots of family time. We look forward to Lex's visit next month!

Restaurant Review - Best Pizza & Brew

Indoor & outdoor dining

Casual setting, great service, and delicious food. A great place to grab some yummy food and a locally brewed cold beer after a long summer day at the beach. Located on the 101 in Oceanside just passed Vista Way! They have awesome pizza (duh!), wings, and salads! A perfect dinner date for 2 splitting a salad and small pizza. They always offer a free slice with a purchase of a hat or t-shirt for only $8! What a deal! I highly recommend 'The Best House Salad' and pepperoni pizza with pineapple and jalapeño. They have pint nights weekly, serving the best beers San Diego has to offer along with some of the most classics. Give them some local support and keep an eye out for new locations coming soon.

A few menu options

Summer in Full Swing

This summer heat is no joke. Yes, we are spoiled living in southern California and are fortunate we get to enjoy some fun in the sun. Most days, we are so busy we forget the importance of hydration and how much of an impact hydration has on our bodies. Most of the time when we hydrate, we don't sit and think about all the benefits our bodies are feeling. Hydration regulates our body temperature, prevents infections, lubricates our joints, delivers nutrients to cells, and keeps our organs functioning properly just to name a few. It also benefits our moods, our ability to concentrate, our skin, and can help aid in weight loss. Of course, we want to hydrate with water, but I understand sometimes that can get boring & tasteless. Some of my favorite alternatives to sprinkle in include: adding muddled fruits and/or lemon, Gatorade Zero, Liquid IV, and the classic plain ice water.
Easy ways to make sure you are always hydrating are to carry a water bottle with you, add a environmentally friendly straw to make sipping easy, try to add a cup of water between alcoholic beverages,  create the habit of taking a glass to bed with you.
Make sure you are bringing water to hydrate on the go, at the beach, to your workouts, and at your job.
Your body will thank you!

Recipe of the Month - PrOats

A breakfast/brunch I can't get enough of right now - PrOats, also known as protein-oats. Super filling, healthy, and delicious. There are a variety of ways to make this yummy high protein breakie. The base pretty much stays the same, toppings and flavors are up to you! Fourth of July inspired this is the protein oats recipe kick I've been on this month.

Ingredients:

-1/2 C quick oats
-1 scoop vanilla protein (or flavor of your choice)
-1 C water
-1 dash almond milk (milk of your choice)
-1 TBSP cinnamon
-1 TBSP almond/peanut butter
-Fresh fruit, nuts, granola, toppings of your choice!

How to Make:

Mix and microwave 1/2 C of oats and 1 C of water for 1 minute. Pour in protein, cinnamon and dash of milk. Mix while hot until consistency of your liking, (I typically like mine a little thicker with minimal milk, add more for a thinner consistency). Cut up fruit of your choice and dollop with my personal favorite, almond butter and a drizzle of honey!

Workout of the Month

Fun Run

A twist to your normal summer jog. This one breaks it up a bit and adds some strength elements.

10 min jog
2 burpees
8 min jog
4 burpees
6 min jog
6 burpees
4 min jog
8 burpees
2 min jog
10 burpees
1 min sprint

Decrease jogging/running time as you increase your burpees. This is a great workout you can do on a treadmill indoors or take it outside and get some burpees in by the beach. Quick and effective take it on vacation or incorporate it into your weekly workout routine for a cardio blast!

A Note From the Agency Owner

Clients, friends and family, as many of you already know, the rate adjustments for the 2019 and 2020 wildfires are upon us.  The never ending management of brush in California has lead to many insurance companies to pull out of California.  Not FARMERS.

This is our home state and we have purchased technology to assist the homes that are in high wild fire zip codes.  These homes might be in the middle of a track or have been tagged as a high risk without any exposed brush within 500 yards.  Zesty technology has already saved our clients thousands of dollars in premium because the re evaluation using drone technology is allowing the household to carry one product and not a California Fair Plan policy in addition to a wrap around policy.  Did you also know that our agency is licensed and appointed with other carriers to assist in hard to place homes that are in wild fire zones.

The topic of home insurance will be in the forefront of news and conversation in California for many years to come.  Why not utilize an insurance agency that has options and available coverage at an affordable premium.  Call our agency for a free assessment of your home, auto and umbrella insurance needs.  Domingo and Associates, Your Agency for Life.

Wishing everyone a safe, fun and productive summer.

Kindly and gratefully yours,

Glenn & Amanda Domingo

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandpas, and everyone who takes on the role of a father. We are very fortunate to have our dad who is a leader of this business and the leader of our family. Always providing for our family any way he can and showing us tough love. Our Father's Day celebration looked a little different than normal this year due to a medical emergency and both my siblings living on the east coast; however that will never change how much we love and appreciate our dad and all his quirks, nicknames, and dance moves. We celebrated a little later with a day at the shooting range and a lunch to follow! You rock Dads, we appreciate you and all your un-noticed hard work!

Restaurant Review - Brooklyn Boyz Pizza

After living in New York, it is tough to find pizza that compares! We decided to try out Brooklyn Boyz Pizza in Oceanside and give it a review. They deliver, have some great special, and make pretty much any pizza you can imagine. They have both deep dish (Sicilian style) and the classic thin crust Brooklyn style pie. By the slice or by the pie, they did not disappoint. If you are just feeding yourself I suggest ordering by the slice! If you are looking to feed a family of 4 to 6 one pizza should do the trick!

Workout of the Month - AMRAP

Well, summer is officially here! No one wants to workout on vacation, or in the summer heat for an hour or more. Here is a quick sweaty blaster that you can do anywhere with your own body weight. It won't take all morning, but you will get your day started with a rush of endorphins and some serious sweat. AMRAP stands for "as many rounds as possible", meaning you will set a timer for 30, 35, or 40 minutes and try to complete as many rounds as you can of all the exercises until the timer stops.

AMRAP - Workout

40 Squats
30 Reverse Lunges
20 Mountain Climbers
10 Push Ups
5 Full Burpees

Go get your sweat on anywhere, anytime! No excuses!

New York or Nowhere

Mom was lucky enough to book a cheap ticket to visit Lex in NYC for a long weekend. They have finally lifted their COVID restrictions and New York City is back in action. They have been enjoying their time at various restaurants, parks, and museums. Mom got to see Lexie's new place and meet some of her new friends since her best friend (me) fled the city.

Backing Off the Booze

I decided to do a little challenge for myself to see how my body and mind responded to a little alcohol detox before the summer time. Was it tough? Of course it was. Being 23 years old in San Diego it seemed liked that was all people did for their social outings. But was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY.  It definitely gave me more clarity that is hard to explain, my workouts improved, my skin looked much more clear, and I was not as lethargic. Everything is good in moderation. I would challenge you to just see if you can go 14 to 21 days and see what it can do for you! I do not plan on not drinking again but I do believe it is a good thing to take a break once in awhile (especially after all this COVID drinking). Some benefits after 14 days could include:

1. Better sleep
2. Improved hydration
3. Decreased acid reflux
4. Lower blood pressure & triglycerides (fat cells)
5. Improved immune system
6. Clearer thoughts
7. Improved relationships

Summer Essentials - What's In My Beach Bag

With summer here, the heat is picking up and the tourists are in town. No better way to spend a sunny day than relaxing on the beach. Here are a list of some essentials I always take with me to make the most of my beach day.

1. Pack your lunch & snacks. There is nothing worse than being hungry and having to leave your perfect parking spot to grab a bite to eat. Sandwiches, some chips, and fruit are easy to pack and easy to eat!
2. Sunscreen! Can't stress this enough, everyone wants to get that tan but you have to keep the wrinkles away too.
3. A good book. It is always nice to hangout and just do absolutely nothing for the day, but if you find reading relaxing don't forget to bring something you enjoy reading.
4. Refreshing drinks. The sun is draining and dehydrating itself so make sure to bring some water, coconut water and Gatorade are a couple of my favorites right now. If you're packing a cooler with some alcoholic beverages make sure you are hydrating as well!
5. Chair, towel, & umbrella. Get comfortable and enjoy your time in the sun. I recommend setting up your camp earlier rather than later before the crowds hit the waves.
6. Sunnies and a hat. Some more sun protection never hurt anyone!

We hope you all have a safe, healthy, and fun summer in the sun!

A Note From the Agency Owner

Hello Friends and Family.  This is just a friendly reminder about a few Best Practice Safety Tips during Summer.

1.  Make suren when leaving for vacation, to notify a friend, family member or neighbor to keep an eye on the house for any suspicious activity.
2.  Be sure to have your mail delivered to the post office so nothing can be stolen.
3.  Turn off the main water to the home if you are away for any length of time that is more than a few days.
4.  Make sure the home windows and doors are secure before leaving for the long trip.
5.  If going on a long road trip, check your oil, tires and fluids.  Better safe than sorry.

My mom's 85th Birthday is on July 4th.  We will have a special section in next months blog for her.  A special thank you to all our clients that have left us a 5 Star Google Review with comments.  Thank you so much.  We are your Agency for Life.  We look forward to seeing or hearing from you soon.

Jen's "Juni" 50th Celebration

Happy Birthday, Mom! Dad and mom celebrated my moms 50th birthday this month. They had such a blast with a group of their friends. They hit the bourbon trail through Kentucky, went to the horse races at Churchill Downs, then ended their fun in Nashville where my older brother, Addison, drove down from Pittsburgh and sister, Alexandra, flew in from New York to surprise her.  The planning started about six months ago.  We all did not know what the pandemic would do for traveling, all of our guest received the Covid-19 vaccination and we all felt comfortable traveling.  22 of us in all.  A couple drove down from Pittsburgh.  A couple hosted and drove in from Nashville.  Our old neighbors and dear friends as well as friends from youth softball and baseball.  Some of the fellas dad has known since the 4th grade made the trip as well.  A true trip of a life time. We’re so grateful we were able to celebrate her and how special she is to all of us.

Mr. Winston and Miss Lucy sure missed momma, but we had a good time holding down the fort at home. Thank you to everyone who made this trip and unforgettable one! Cheers to Juni and 50 more!

Happy Birthday Mom

I miss mom and dad
The smiles say it all.

More TV time since mom & dad are away!

Love you, Mom!

Aunt Nat, Mama, & Mom

A day to appreciate a little extra all the hard work our mom’s do on a daily basis. To all the mothers, all the mothers we remember, and all the one who take on the role as mothers we never can appreciate all the sacrifices you make each and every day. Big shoutout to our mom who undeniably goes above and beyond. We were able to celebrate with both my grandma’s and my mom. The first time our family has got together since the pandemic began.

Restaurant Review

As summer comes around and everyone is on the go or out and about I thought to twist up our usual restaurant review. An easy, affordable date night, family day, or hanging with your best gals or guys. Head over to your local grocery store with a deli! Usually the sandwiches are pretty cheap, made fresh right in front of you, and all the picky eaters get to choose really anything from the store. We usually use Sprouts or Frazier Farms order our food, grab some fruit, snacks, and a drink then take our food with us to enjoy at the beach. My dad, mom, and I did this for Memorial Day!

Memorial Day

A day to remember all who have served our country. We will never be able to thank them enough. We honor you with the upmost respect. We want to remember that this is not just a "3-day weekend", but a day dedicated to those who served our country. We thank you for your service!

Mid Year Review

Wow, we have five months of 2021 under our belt.  Did those 5 months fly by ?  As the states, country and the world start to re open without the fear of contracting the Covid-19 Virus, people around the world are starting to travel and feel comfortable with public appearances.  This segment of the blog is two fold.

First of all, during this time of the year, our agency and family review our 2021 goals to see how close or how far we are from accomplishing that goal.  We have written our goals down for 25 years and this has assisted us with keeping focus on the task needed to reach that goal.  This is a great opportunity to reflect back on what is working and what needs adjusting.  I try to remember to what process, steps and actions we have done to keep successful.  I also will delete a marketing plan or adjust a budget in order to make the goal happen by year end.  What ever the task or goal is, life throws curveballs and you need to adjust your skills and tactics in order to make that goal a reality.  Don't get down on your self if the goal you have set is not being accomplished.  We all have the ability to change our lives.  Do you have goals that need adjusting ?  Do you have goals that will improve you and your families lives ?  Do you have goals that will improve the lives of others ?

Secondly, as our traveling and vacations increase, so should our awareness of home safety when we leave.  Make certain you have some trusted neighbors or friends know you will be gone and to have them check on your home a couple of times when you are away.  Look for any plumbing issues prior to leaving or, in fact, turn off your main water supply to prevent a burst pipe.  It is important when you do come back home to have a few of the facets turned on to prevent built up pressure when turning on the main water line.  Either have someone pick up your mail or have it delivered to your local post office to prevent any mail being stolen.  Let your credit card company know you will be traveling so they do not put a hold on a charge that you made out of state or out of country.  Leave a few lights on to have the appearance of someone home to deter any unwelcomed guest from thinking no one is home.  These are just a few ideas to help keep your home, property and lives secure.

Thanks for listening and reading.  Until our June Blog

Kindly and with gratitude, Glenn and Amanda Domingo
